Cranberry Horseradish Mousse

Cranberry_horseradish_mousse_2

I like cranberry sauce, and I like horseradish; I just don't know if I like them together. I'm thinking of making this for Thanksgiving this year. If I do (and let's hope for my guests that I do a test run beforehand) I'll let you know how it turns out.

When I grew up, the only time we had cranberry sauce was at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I seriously believed that it was supposed to be can-shaped and sliced into perfect rounds.  It wasn't until I had been on my own for quite some time that I realized that you could make cranberry sauce from real cranberries, and it was actually easy to do. Finding this recipe in my grandmother's collection makes me ponder if this was one that turned out badly, and thus wasn't a candidate for being passed down for future generations.
